Robinism 1: My Holy Opinion

You know all the Holy exclamations Robin is guilty of? I honestly don't know what is better: the idea of Robin having all these ridiculous expressions, or Adam West speaking slowly with the theory he'd have more screen time. But one thing I do know: I love the hell out of Robin's Holy exclamations quite a bit, and I'm sure you all do too. Holy birthday cake here, holy crucial moment there, and especially holy uncanny photographic mental processes to make me say "Holy shit." But don't you just adore? Roll eyes and groan all you want; but you know you like it.

Isn't he precious?

Robin is so good at the Holy's - it's like his job. Every episode must have at least one Holy, whether it's sensible or not. I don't know what the deal is with him, what's going on or why. But his tongue is just too goofy to hate, y'know? Either he is whining about work like any teenager, ranting to criminals in naive hopes he can get a point across, or screaming about something Holy. I love it all, but the Holy's just make me flinch silly. The unexpected and even quite strange tongue-in-cheek, campy-ass humor is just great. I know it's supposed to be a little cute and humorous, but this is too much ridicule - however it's fantastic if you love Robin and enjoy the absurd and outright goofy quotes. If you do, here is something you can spend a few quite meaningful moments of your life on:

Holy's from the first season. In order, too. How nice. And for all of you who enjoyed his exclamations, and need more, here you are:

It is a little bit more, from the motion picture. Only a minute long. Not much but still more. (You deserve the extra; it's been a long day.)

I don't know about you, but I don't mind being Holy'd to death slowly and slowly. So if one day I go missing, check my couch or my bed where I write and fangirl - I may just be dead because of him. Unless I get a chance to snuggle him to death first. Who knows?

He's even set his own little record here in Smack in the Middle (1x02) with both holy smokes and holy showcase in... 12 seconds! It's like he was prepared. He must work under pressure, exclaiming a Holy right after the Riddler is pissed and to the point of killing him with bare hands, and then another Holy after a fast-paced escape of a villain and he and Batman's shock. You go, Boy Wonder!

Whether it makes sense or not, I like it and find it iconic. It couldn't get any better, really, and it makes every episode just a little campier.
